This yoga class is designed to provide a special environment where women can feel supported to honor the difficulties and celebrate the joys of pregnancy. Other objectives of this class are to: Enhance a woman’s body awareness allowing her to better adapt to the changes in her body; Help to alleviate certain physical discomforts common in pregnancy; Educate her to evoke her own deep relaxation states; Help her to develop flexibility, strength, balance and agility; Allow her to cope with stress in healthy ways. The first 45 minutes of class includes a forum in which we will discuss specific topics related to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The second half of class will involve practicing breathing and gentle Hatha yoga postures, followed by deep relaxation. All yoga postures are safe for all stages of pregnancy and no prior yoga experience is necessary.
This is an aerobic class for mom and a motion and music experience for baby.
